Sabre’s Give Together tradition of driving social and environmental change continues with the latest Give Together Global Giving Campaign. Once again, team members around the world came together in creative and engaging ways to support charities and causes important to them and their communities. In a show of solidarity with Ukraine, team members organized and directed many of their efforts to the Polish Red Cross and other philanthropic organizations providing relief to refugees. While all team members are able to give seamlessly and virtually through the Give Together platform, launched last year, our largest locations also held activities to amplify the giving spirit. Here are a few key highlights from our regional Give Together efforts:
United States
Team members across the nation participated in a virtual 5K FUND Run by donating their registration fees to compete for awards for fastest times, best mid-run selfie, and best running outfit. Runners and walkers raised money for the Polish Red Cross and other charities of their choice. The Polish Red Cross continues to provide medical support, as well as food and supplies, to Ukrainian refugees arriving at the Polish border.
Bengaluru
Bengaluru Sabre team members partnered with the Parikrma Foundation, which provides free education, meals and health check-ups to impoverished children in India with the goal of elevating the children out of the poverty cycle. Through foosball, carom, chess and push-up competitions, the Bangalore office raised money to buy books and supplies necessary for schooling at the foundation.
Krakow
Krakow gave vigorously to relief efforts in Ukraine by hosting a multitude of different activities including a pool tournament, an online auction, and the packing and sorting of donations for refugees to support the Polish Red Cross and other local charities. Recently, a “Help for Ukraine” initiative was launched to match Sabre donors around the world with team members in Poland who are hosting Ukrainian refugees.
Montevideo
Montevideo team members offered both virtual and in-person activities, including the “Eat-A-Lot” international food fair and the Sabre’s Got Talent Show, to raise funds for ÁNIMA. ÁNIMA helps young people in situations of social vulnerability earn a technological baccalaureate through a work/study program while focusing on personal and professional development.
Singapore
In Singapore, team members participated in their fourth iteration of a textile collection drive and raised funds to purchase care packages for elderly residents. They emphasized the importance of sustainability with eco-friendly tote bags at the center of their charity drive.
Give Together, Sabre’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) program is in its 22nd year. The program underscores Sabre’s commitment to give back to our communities all over the world. Full-time team members are also given one paid day, every quarter, to give time to causes and organizations they choose.
