SOUTHLAKE, Texas, Oct. 29, 2009 – Volaris, Mexico’s fastest-growing airline, has selected SabreSonic Customer Sales and Service (CSS) solution, the industry’s most powerful revenue-generating and customer-focused reservations system, to position the carrier with the best technology to facilitate their expansion plans.
“Volaris has exciting growth plans over the next several years and Sabre was the obvious choice for us because of the depth of their industry experience and excellence in delivering their solutions,” said Enrique Beltranena, general director of Volaris. “Sabre is a committed partner that will help us evolve our airline to the next level.”
The airline has experienced steady growth in Mexico from 2006 and recently has initiated its international service to Los Angeles and Oakland. The carrier also has plans to begin codesharing with Southwest Airlines next year.
“Volaris is a perfect example of a thriving low-cost carrier that is evolving their business model to serve the needs of their customers,” said Jim Barlow, senior vice president of Passenger Solutions for Sabre Airline Solutions. “SabreSonic CSS gives the airline the ability to learn more about their customers so they can tailor their flight experience and it will also provide unique insights into the airline’s competitive landscape so they can maximize revenue opportunities.”
SabreSonic CSS’ advanced technology platform will allow the airline to cultivate its opportunities to interline and codeshare with other airlines. Sabre’s sophisticated reservations system will also enhance Volaris’ revenue through merchandising, ancillary sales and maximizing the carrier’s branded fares.
In addition to SabreSonic CSS, Volaris has also selected SabreSonic Web to power its website with new services and capabilities that will help customers maximize the online channel. The carrier will also use Sabre AirVision Revenue Manager to maximize revenue opportunities with automated tools and decision support.
