Travelocity Renews Preferred Agreements with LaQuinta and LXR, Signs New Deal with Extended Stay

SOUTHLAKE, Texas, Oct 23, 2006 (BUSINESS WIRE) — Travelocity has signed deals with three hotel brands owned by
affiliates of Blackstone Real Estate partners, making Travelocity a
preferred online distribution partner. LaQuinta and LXR Luxury Resorts
renewed participation and Extended Stay Hotels became the newest
member of Travelocity’s net rate hotel program. The hotel companies
also have plans to expand their relationship into Travelocity’s
vacation packaging engine in key markets.

“We are excited to have Travelocity as a distribution channel for
our wide array of hotels,” said Joe Berger, Co-President, of LXR
Luxury Resorts. “Travelocity is a leader in online distribution,
delivering on the needs of suppliers such as two-way seamless
connectivity and, at the same time, giving customers a wide choice of
products.”

“These agreements with LaQuinta, LXR Luxury Resorts and Extended
Stay Hotels means that their content will appear on Travelocity,
lastminute.com and ZUJI.com as well as affiliate sites,” said Ross
Mantione, vice president of partner marketing for Travelocity.
“Together, we will provide our mutual customers with richer content,
wider availability, and more options.”

Through this relationship, these Blackstone hotel companies will
be able to take advantage of Travelocity’s fully-automated, two-way
Central Reservations System connectivity. This also allows consumers
booking these properties on Travelocity to view current rates and
availability and for those properties to receive immediate delivery of
reservations directly into their property management system.
