‘Travelocity on Location’ Bring Las Vegas Travelers Closer to the Mob

Travel Editors

SOUTHLAKE, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Oct. 10, 2006–In a move that
further deepens its roots in Las Vegas, Travelocity is re-branding 14
kiosks and ticket booths citywide from Showtickets.com to “Travelocity
On Location.” Five locations have already undergone a makeover and the
company expects to complete the transition in the next several weeks.
Each of the kiosks, sporting a new logo incorporating Travelocity’s
Stars Design trademarks, are staffed with Travelocity destination
experts who assist customers on questions ranging from restaurants to
revues.

In conjunction with the debut of the Travelocity on Location
brand, travelers stopping by a kiosk will receive a coupon offering
$100 instant savings on a Travelocity vacation package booked by
November 16, plus $200 off a future trip booked on Travelocity.(a)

Travelocity has also introduced new technology that allows
customers purchasing show tickets at the kiosks or online via
Travelocity Activities to see and get their assigned seats for the
Vegas show they choose at the time of purchase. Other ticketing
programs restrict customers from acquiring their specific seat until
they arrive at the venue.

“A unique feature of our offerings for the newly redesigned
Travelocity on Location Event Ticketing system is our ability to hold
allocations of seats for the hottest shows in town,” said Ross
Mantione, vice president of partner marketing for Travelocity. “This
provides our agents with the ability to print assigned seat tickets
right away, which is right in line with our continued commitment to
customer service and our goal to make travel an enjoyable experience
from start to finish.”

Travelocity on Location kiosks can be found on and off the Las
Vegas Strip including the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace, the Flamingo,
Harrah’s, Grand Canal Shops at the Venetian, the Stratosphere, Sahara,
Dessert Passage, the Las Vegas Convention Center and McCarran
International Airport.

Offering more than 108 shows and 154 tours on a weekly basis,
Travelocity on Location has something every Las Vegas traveler can
enjoy from the eerie Haunted Vegas Tour to the unusual Vegas Mob Tour.
The Haunted Vegas Tour reveals Sin City’s darkest ghostly secrets, as
tour guides take visitors to the haunting grounds of Vegas legends
like Redd Foxx and Liberace. In the Vegas Mob Tour guests learn the
truth about notorious and infamous mobsters, including where murders,
strange disappearances and mob activity occurred.
