Travelocity Business Names Scott Hyden General Manager; New GM’s Supplier and Online Technology Experience Complements Travelocity Business’ Rich Corporate History

SOUTHLAKE, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Aug. 2, 2004–Travelocity
Business(SM), a full-service corporate travel agency, today announced
it has appointed Scott Hyden as General Manager.

Hyden, whose most recent experience includes managing major online
businesses such as Travelweb.com and American Airlines’ AA.com, brings
deep knowledge in airline and hotel supplier relations, as well as in
automating travel and transportation processes. Hyden’s supplier and
online technology experience complements Travelocity Business’ decades
of corporate experience gained through Sabre Holdings(SM) and
GetThere(R).

“Scott brings a great skill set in delivering a better traveler
experience in the most efficient way. His past experience shows he is
tightly aligned with Travelocity Business’ mantras — helping
companies become more efficient, while delivering better service,
access to the best travel deals, and more options to travelers,” said
Ellen Keszler, who is now president of Corporate Solutions at Sabre
Holdings, including Travelocity Business, GetThere and related
corporate offerings.

Hyden most recently served as general manager of Dallas-based
Travelweb.com, an online hotel distribution company owned by many of
the world’s largest hotel chains, where he oversaw the launch and
management of this major hotel site. Previously, he was managing
director of American Airlines’ AA.com, and guided e-commerce strategy,
product development, site design and technology direction.

“Travelocity Business is in a unique position in corporate
travel,” said Hyden. Few corporate agencies have the technology and
experience in delivering powerful online and automation solutions, and
no other online agency brings the wealth of experience in corporate
travel. The recent announcements on its service center and new online
site are just the latest examples of how Travelocity Business is
transforming the corporate travel reservation and fulfillment
processes to the benefit of companies and their travelers.”

On July 14 Travelocity Business announced enhanced technologies in
its service center that position it as the only full-service corporate
agency to own and manage all of the beginning to end technologies and
processes for automating corporate travel. Additionally, on July 26,
it announced an enhanced Web site that fully combines the company’s
corporate travel technology with the usability and wide range of
options of Travelocity’s newly redesigned site.

Prior to managing AA.com, Hyden was vice president of finance and
information technology for American Airlines’ Cargo Division. He also
held a number of other executive and management positions at American
Airlines, United Parcel Service (UPS) and KPMG Peat Marwick. Hyden
received his MBA from Duke University, and Bachelor of Science degree
from the University of Colorado in Boulder.
