TAM Linhas Aereas to launch Sabre’s new Commercial Intelligence solution

Solution will help airline increase passenger revenues

SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, SEPT. 27, 2011 – TAM Linhas Aereas will launch Sabre Airline Solutions’ new AirVision Commercial Intelligence solution designed to gather critical pricing and revenue information so airlines can quickly respond to competitive marketplace activity.

TAM will begin using Commercial Intelligence in the first quarter of next year and is expected drive higher passenger revenues and load factors.

The Sao Paulo, Brazil-based carrier will leverage Sabre’s Commercial Intelligence solution as a business decision support application designed to integrate key performance indicators into graphical views, allowing for quicker inter-departmental coordination, and faster, succinct responses to competitive actions.

The new solution builds on Sabre Airline Solutions great history of bringing new and innovative commercial planning tools to the market that help our airline customers drive revenue, efficiencies and value. Commercial Intelligence compiles information from other leading Sabre AirVision Solutions including, Pricing, Revenue Management, Scheduling, Cargo, Revenue Accounting, Revenue Integrity and Market Intelligence, along with internal airline sources to assist the airline to best position itself with competitors and marketplace dynamics.

Sabre’s Commercial Intelligence visual displays also include the airlines’ sales, route and profitability information. The solution allows for network, regional, hub, market and flight level views, representing a rolling 12-month historical, and nine month forward looking view on the information. 

Additional feature functions include a competitive alert and online analysis processor capable of storing 24 months of integrated commercial data, for quick ad-hoc analysis. Sabre will also provide commercial business process refinement consulting, designed to allow TAM to extract maximum value from the Commercial Intelligence solution.
