SYNXIS REDX™ DISTRIBUTION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM GAINS MOMENTUM AND CUSTOMER APPROVAL

DALLAS, TX – June 17 – SynXis, a Sabre Holdings (NYSE:TSG) company, today introduced RedX, the new name for the next-generation distribution management system that was recently launched and is now in use by 500 hotels around the world.

“We wanted to give the new product a name to differentiate it from our classic systems and make it stand out from the competition,” explained Bill Nicholson, president and general manager, SynXis. “After doing some market research, we realized the best name was literally right in front of us the whole time. The ’RedX’ is something that has been used in the SynXis name and collateral since the company’s inception in 1996.”

New functionality is frequently added to RedX based on customer feedback and the needs of the marketplace. The latest features include a dynamic packaging component that enables properties to sell multiple revenue sources such as golf, spa services and food and beverage all on the same booking. This feature is available on the booking engine and the direct voice application so reservation agents can also sell packages.

Another in-demand feature recently released is the Group and Wholesaler Rooming List Import functionality. Hotels can import multiple reservations for groups or wholesalers into RedX from any spreadsheet and save time and costly errors when those reservations are then delivered directly into the property management system via an interface.

“We had been using the classic SynXis CRS for four years and our sales
manager introduced us to RedX,” said Mike Ouimet, director of sales &
marketing at the Wilshire Grand Hotel in Los Angels. “We were impressed by the easy navigation, comprehensive reporting and, most of all, the animated, user-friendly booking engine which has already increased the bookings from our website. I was also told that we could give input as to how the system should evolve and I haven’t been disappointed in how quickly the SynXis development team responds to our needs.”

“Being an industry leader, SynXis is in a unique position to shape the direction that distribution management will take in the future,” commented Nicholson. “We will continue investing in our products and services to ensure RedX meets our customers’ needs both now and into the future.”
