New agreement with leading industry wholesaler provides seamless access to over 80,000 global hotels, featuring greater choice in exotic destinations for travel agents booking through TotalTrip across Latin America Mexico City – JULY 15, 2013 – Sabre, a global technology company for the travel industry, has expanded its global hotel content by signing a long-term agreement with Destinations of the World (DOTW), one of the largest hotel aggregators in the world. The properties are already listed in TotalTrip, Sabre’s e-commerce hotel platform used by thousands of agents in Latin America to shop, book and pre-pay for hotels and travel extras. By this agreement with DOTW, TotalTrip gives travel agents direct access to 80,000 properties from around the world, spotlighting hotels in Africa, the Middle East and Asia. Part of the Sabre marketplace, TotalTrip enables agents to fulfill their revenue opportunities by selling hotels in every destination. “As outbound travel increases across Latin America we have identified a greater demand for quality properties and particularly accommodation services in exotic destinations”, said Roberto Rosales Santiago, general manager for TotalTrip, a Sabre Travel Network brand. “Our new agreement with DOTW considerably boosts our number of hotel properties in Africa, the Middle East and Asia, allowing agents to cater to almost every traveler’s expectations and budget. TotalTrip is the only hotel booking solution that allows them to shop for hotel availability and access millions of room deals in destinations around the world, while managing commissions and guaranteeing their earnings in every booking”. To distribute 80,000 quality hotels globally DOTW securely and dynamically connects to 44 international hotel chains and over 100 brands, enabling access to capabilities such as Best Available Rate and last room availability. The company is renowned for offering the largest hotel inventory in exotic destinations worldwide. Keith Fernandez, Founder & Chief Executive Officer for DOTW, said: “We’re very pleased with the opportunity to extend the reach of our hotel content to TotalTrip and the Sabre marketplace. We are focused on servicing their customers with a comprehensive range of competitive products, supported by a seamlessly integrated booking process, and not least servicing the common need for prepaid services”. Destinations of the World is the newest hotel aggregator to bring its content into TotalTrip. Sabre’s online e-commerce platform for accommodation continues to expand choice for agents, with content powered by Travelocity and recent deals with Tourico Holidays, HotelBeds and GTA. TotalTrip is available in English, Spanish and Portuguese to all travel agents connected to the Sabre marketplace in Latin America. During recent months it has undergone significant enhancements, including technology to support multiple forms of payments across the region.
