MONTEVIDEO, Uruguay – May 27, 2019 – Sabre Corporation (NASDAQ: SABR), the leading technology provider to the global travel industry, recently celebrated the fifteenth anniversary of its global center located in Montevideo, Uruguay. The center currently employs over 950 team members and is a valuable resource and strategic global location for Sabre.
In May 2004, Sabre arrived in Uruguay with the objective of consolidating its customer care and delivery functions into a single location to achieve significant operational efficiency improvements. Sabre was attracted to Uruguay’s high-quality technical talent and the opportunity to offer its customers a consistent, world-class customer support experience globally. The center opened with a team of 120 professionals performing three job functions. Quickly, the Sabre Montevideo team showed their commitment and ability to perform other tasks, which motivated the company to expand its presence and leverage additional skill sets.

Today, the center has almost 1000 talented professionals performing over 200 diverse job functions including technology, data analytics and business intelligence, customer support, training, consulting, product marketing, corporate communications, financial and human resource services. Additionally, since 2017, the Montevideo office has served as Sabre’s commercial headquarters for the Latin America and Caribbean (LAC) region.
