Sabre Names Joe DiFonzo as CIO

SOUTHLAKE, Texas, June 30, 2017 – Sabre Corp. (NASDAQ: SABR), the leading technology provider to the global travel industry, today announced that it has named Joe DiFonzo as Chief Information Officer (CIO), effective July 10. As CIO, DiFonzo will have responsibility for Sabre’s enterprise technology organization, as well as corporate information technology, and risk and security functions. He will also be tasked with building the next generation of tools and processes as Sabre continues to invest in enhancements to its technology infrastructure that supports airlines, hotels, travel agencies and corporate customers across the globe. “We are in the midst of a multi-year initiative to enhance our technology capabilities, continue our drive to scale our infrastructure to support greater efficiency, and power the growth of both Sabre and our travel industry partners. DiFonzo brings to Sabre a nearly 30-year career in technology leadership, including most recently, eight years at Syniverse, a global provider of communication and information services for network operators, where during his tenure he served as both chief technology officer and CIO. He previously spent 20 years at Convergys/Cincinnati Bell Information Systems, leading architecture and product development teams, among other assignments.
