SOUTHLAKE, Texas, Feb. 24, 2014 – Sabre, a global technology company, appointed Jon Urquhart as vice president of organizational and talent development. Urquhart will lead Sabre’s organization and talent review process, and is charged with building a robust talent and performance management program. He will also lead employee learning and development activities for the company as well as organizational design and change management initiatives. He comes from General Electric (GE) where he held a variety of global human resources leadership roles over the past 17 years in the high tech industrial, energy and corporate space. Urquhart previously served as human resources leader for the GE Power Conversion business and the $3.5 billion Industrial Solutions business with 63 operating locations globally. He also served as the human resources leader for the GE corporate initiatives group and the six sigma quality organization. “Jon has a track record of delivering results in very challenging environments and has clearly demonstrated the values of teamwork, collaboration and ownership of results,” said Bill Robinson, Sabre’s chief human resources officer. “Jon and his team will ensure Sabre places a priority on having the right talent we need to fulfill our strategy, and that includes developing and deploying the right people to drive the effort.”
