Sabre and Lufthansa Sign New Four Year Global Distribution Agreement

New global agreement brings long-term certainty in tough economic times

SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS, May 6, 2009 – Sabre and Lufthansa have signed a new four year global agreement, providing agencies and corporations around the world with continued access to the airline’s full content via the Sabre global distribution system (GDS).

“Our deal gives agencies and corporations something they really need in this current economic climate – guaranteed certainty and continued long-term access to full content from Lufthansa via the efficient GDS channel,” said Greg Webb, chief marketing officer for Sabre Travel Network. “This important deal concludes intense negotiations to get the very best deal for our agency and corporate customers while balancing the needs of airlines in today’s challenging economy.”

The agreement also reinforces the partnership between Lufthansa and the Sabre GDS.

Providing long-term access to Lufthansa’s Preferred Fares Program has been a key objective of Sabre as part of its ongoing commitment to providing balanced solutions for the industry.

The new agreement between Sabre and Lufthansa takes effect from 1 July 2009.
