Peach takes to skies with Sabre technology

New Japanese carrier chooses Sabre for key operations

OSAKA, August 16, 2011 – Japan’s first dedicated low cost carrier, Peach, has chosen Sabre technology to run key operational functions.

Sabre’s AirCentre Movement Control will help Peach manage daily flight operations, giving its operations department a complete view of flight and maintenance schedules, load weight, crew connections, and passenger information. Peach has also signed up for Sabre AirCentre Crew Control, a solution suite used by 35 percent of the world’s airlines, to better manage its crew resources and reduce disruptions.

“We understand how important it is that we have the right technology, which in this day and age is critical to any airline operation. We have therefore looked very closely at all the various technology offerings out in the market and we are confident we have found the right partner in Sabre Airline Solutions. It has an outstanding track record and know what it takes to run an airline like Peach, efficiently,” said Takeaki Mori, operations director, Peach.

The airline will commence flights from its base in Kansai International Airport by March 2012 and will service a network that spans Asia.

“These solutions that Peach has selected from Sabre have measurable success records, saving airlines around the world millions of dollars. Peach understands that running a low cost carrier in this competitive landscape requires it to operate with maximum efficiency. What Peach invests now in best-in-class technology will pay off handsomely in the long run,” said Dasha Kuksenko, head of sales Asia Pacific, Sabre Airline Solutions.

“We are always thrilled to participate in the launch of an airline, and to have the opportunity to prove Sabre’s worth as a technology partner,” added Kuksenko.
