Jurni Network Enhances Members’ Ability to Sell Vacation Packages Profitably

New Suite of Vacation Packaging Tools Allows Agents to Meet Customer Needs and Earn Additional Commissions

SOUTHLAKE, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)–July 14, 2004– Jurni Network, the unique travel agency consortium developed by Sabre Travel Network, today announced the introduction of new tools and features to Jurni InternetView that will enable member agencies to provide unmatched travel vacation offers to their customers and earn additional commissions. InternetView, the GDS independent integrated desktop application for Jurni member agents, now includes a suite of tools that provide a full array of travel package choices that offer agency customers significant savings over individual component pricing.

Jurni agents also gain enhanced ease and efficiency because these tools are available from within Jurni InternetView with a single click, thereby eliminating the need for multiple passwords. In addition, members can easily improve their customer marketing efforts because they now have the capability to integrate the TRAMS ClientBase Plus profiles into their Jurni InternetView customer profiles.

The travel package tool suite includes:

  • Sabre Vacations is available now within Jurni InternetView to shop and book packages from 13 of Jurni’s preferred suppliers. Sabre Vacations utilizes VAX VacationAccess®, a leading Web-based booking and reservation management tool from Trisept Solutions. The tour operators featured service major leisure destinations in the U.S., Central America, Mexico, the Caribbean, Canada and Europe. Air and hotel, land only (hotel or hotel and car), and/or traditional tour option packages can be selected. Agents receive up to 15% commission.
  • Jurni CustomTrip is a new dynamic packaging tool available exclusively to Jurni members that utilizes the same technology as the Travelocity TotalTrip feature but is customized for the needs of Jurni members. It provides agents the ability to book a combined air and hotel package for their customers to a comprehensive selection of U.S. cities and major international destinations. They can also book travel insurance for their travelers during the booking process. Jurni CustomTrip is particularly helpful for agents working with customers who are traveling to non-traditional leisure destinations and gives agents access to the same content available to online agencies. Agents receive a 7% commission.
  • Agent59 offers unbeatable last-minute travel packages featuring a choice of flights, hotels and rental cars at negotiated rates reduced up to 60%. Packages can be booked from 14 days to three hours prior to departure from 76 North American cities. Agents receive a 5% commission.

Jurni Network has also partnered with TRAMS ClientBase Plus, a leader in agency information management, to enable Jurni agents to use their ClientBase Plus database to upload customer names and addresses into the Jurni InternetView tool profile system to enhance their customer marketing and relationship efforts. Using this capability, agents can directly upload names, addresses and email addresses from ClientBase Plus profiles into the direct marketing system to participate in Jurni Network’s free direct marketing campaigns designed to help member agents create buyers from their existing customer base and develop new customers.

“We have been impressed with the Jurni InternetView desktop and all it can do for us,” said Janet Horton at Island Jack’s Travel. “Everything associated with Jurni Network has been top notch, including the technology, marketing programs, the people and the personal service. With Jurni’s help we are able to compete on a level playing field with large agencies and win new clients.”

“These desktop enhancements enable Jurni Network member agencies to turn more shoppers into buyers with great travel package offers,” said Chris Kroeger, general manager of Jurni Network. “And the improved CRM capabilities from the ClientBase Plus integration help them grow their businesses by taking advantage of the preferred supplier marketing programs. This allows them to meet their business objectives, while providing customers the travel experiences they most desire at the best price. We will continue to invest in enhanced tools and features to the Jurni desktop to bring value to agents, suppliers and travelers.”
