London / Berlin – March 6th, 2014 – Sabre Travel Network, a global travel technology company serving travel suppliers and agencies, has signed an agreement with Germania to market the airline’s products and services in the Sabre global distribution system.

Sabre-connected travel agencies – more than 400,000 worldwide in more than 130 countries – get guaranteed access to the German airline’s seats and fare classes. The Sabre travel marketplace increases operational efficiency of travel agents worldwide to make, manage and fulfill travel itineraries that include Germania bookings.

Oliver Pawel, chief commercial officer, Germania said, “The agreement with Sabre, and the global reach it provides, will further propel the distribution of Germania seats and flights on a global scale. The agreement allows us to generate additional revenue and to operate our connections even more efficient.” Harald Eisenaecher, senior vice president for Sabre Travel Network, EMEA said, “Germania’s importance among single-seat sales to selected destinations in EMEA and its charter flights for tour operators to popular holiday destinations in Europe has been growing in recent years. Sabre aims to play a pivotal role in the airline’s future by making its fares and schedules available to our global travel agency community. Investing in products and services that carriers, such as Germania, need to grow their international business is a key priority of our company. We’re committed to constantly strengthening and giving access to new supplier content so Sabre-connected travel agents can offer their customers the best travel products at the best value.” Germania joins the list of approximately 400 airlines that have chosen the Sabre travel marketplace to market airline products and services to travel agencies around the world.
