Enhancements to Sabre Cruises Provide More Streamlined Shopping, Booking Process

Sabre Cruises Bookings Doubled since November Launch

SOUTHLAKE, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)–March 30, 2007–Sabre Travel
Network, the world’s largest and most rewarding marketplace for buying
and selling travel, has added new enhancements to its browser-based
cruise booking engine Sabre Cruises. The new features provide Sabre
Connected travel agents features that enhance their customer service
when shopping and booking the 13 cruise lines available in Sabre.

“With these new enhancements, booking cruises in Sabre Cruises is
even easier and more streamlined than before,” said Dan Westbrook,
vice president of merchandising, Sabre Travel Network. “Travel agents
benefit from managing every aspect of their cruise sales efficiently
and professionally while earning great commissions.”

Agents can shop and compare cruise lines, get live inventory, book
automated group rates, view deck plans, cabins, choose dining
preference and can even book pre- and post-sailing packages.

With the latest enhancements to Sabre Cruises, agents now also
get:

  • Enhanced documentation, including the ability to print agent
and customer invoice deck plans, cabin pictures and more
  • Integration with ClientBase+ including the ability to
LiveConnect into Sabre Cruises so they can track and retain
    detailed customers records
  • Expanded passenger information, including more flexibility
    with name fields
  • More pricing options earlier in the shopping process,
including the ability to review special resident, senior, past
passenger, child fare or 3rd/4th passenger prices
  • Functionality that enables them to clone a booking, making
    multiple bookings much faster.
“Since the launch in November 2006, cruise bookings in Sabre
Cruises have doubled,” said Westbrook. “Our customers love how easy
and fast it is, and how much control they have over the end-to-end
process compared to booking by phone. And we are really excited about
enhancing the functionality of Sabre Cruises in a way that makes both
the travel agents and our cruise partners more efficient and more
profitable.”

In an announcement made by Sabre earlier today, Sabre Cruises is
now available to all travel professionals in North America, including
agents that currently do not participate in the Sabre GDS, through the
new VacationStudio powered by MySabre. VacationStudio, the latest
addition to Sabre’s end-to-end leisure collection, provides convenient
access to a broad range of commissionable leisure travel products
through such solutions as Sabre Cruises, TripTailor, Agent59 and more.
