EDS and Sabre Holdings Extend IT Services Contract in Support of Sabre’s Continued Business Transformation

Approximately $630 Million in New Revenue to EDS

PLANO, Texas and SOUTHLAKE, Texas – EDS and Sabre Holdings today announced the renegotiation and extension of an information technology (IT) services contract through 2014, with new revenue to EDS valued at approximately $630 million.

Under the new agreement, EDS will provide a full range of IT services in support of Sabre’s continued business transformation, including its move to open systems. By adopting the EDS implementation of industry best practices through its tools and services, Sabre will be positioned to focus more energy on enhancing the end-customer’s experience through its innovative technology tools and services.

“This agreement reflects the transformation to open systems that has taken place at Sabre since we began our work with EDS in 2001, and it better aligns us with how we serve our customers today,” said Barry Vandevier, chief information officer of Sabre Holdings. “It simplifies and standardizes our operational processes utilizing the EDS standard operations framework. This will bring further efficiencies to our environment and reduce our costs. Given EDS’ global capability, we are excited to extend our partnership and leverage their expertise as we progress our technology roadmap to deliver great products for our customers.”

“We have adjusted our services to better align with Sabre’s continuous business transformation, and Sabre will leverage our industry support and tools to meet the demands of their growing global business,” said Jeff Kelly, executive vice president and leader of EDS’ Americas Region. “EDS is dedicated to provide Sabre with better support for their customers.”
