ANA enhances distribution strategy with Sabre Travel Network

New agreement will boost airline’s marketing and distribution efforts

SINGAPORE, Feb. 19, 2014Global travel technology company Sabre announced today it has signed a new, multi-year, core content agreement with All Nippon Airways. Under this agreement, Sabre and the airline plan to work together to make ANA’s comprehensive range of content in fares, schedules and inventory, available in the Sabre global distribution system (GDS) to all Sabre subscribers. “Our partnership with Sabre means we will have an effective channel of distribution globally and be able to maximise Sabre’s reach to deliver marketing messages as well. This is indeed an important and necessary step for us,” said Kikuo Watanabe, ANA’s vice president, marketing planning. Said Hans Belle, vice president and general manager, Asia Pacific, Sabre Travel Network, “Japan has always been an important travel market. Our goal is to give airline partners new and innovative ways to reach out to their customers through the Sabre travel marketplace and that includes the strong partnership with Abacus, the largest GDS in Asia.”
