Radixx, a leading airline retailing software provider, is announcing that regional Icelandic carrier, Air Iceland Connect, is now live with Radixx Goä at Ísafjörður Airport. Radixx Goä is a cloud-based platform that provides airlines with innovative mobile and self-service features that have proven to increase ancillary revenues in the airport, enhance the passenger experience, and significantly reduce passenger handling costs at airlines across the globe. From commercial discussion to go live, the complete implementation timeline was just two months.
Air Iceland Connect selected Radixx Go™ to enable their airline to better partner with airlines like Icelandair through InterAirline Through Check-In (IATCHI) agreements. Radixx Go™ fully supports government messaging and is certified with all airport common-use platforms. Their airline will also be taking advantage of the advanced ancillary sales features to increase revenues during check-in by offering value-added services to their Light, Classic and Flexible fares.
Gudmundur Kristinn Ögmundsson, Digital Development & IT Manager at Air Iceland Connect stated, “It has been great working with Radixx on the implementation of Radixx Go. The fact that we could go from signing the agreement to implementing our first station in roughly two months really says something about the system’s capabilities and ease of use.”
To prepare for the go live, Air Iceland Connect completed a short two-hour training at IFJ airport. After just two hours of training, agents felt comfortable and ready to check in their first flight in Radixx Go.
BirgittaGudmundsdottir Bender commented, “We trained on Radixx Go in the morning for only two hours and our agents felt comfortable enough to check-in and board the first flight in Radixx Go.”
Radixx Go™ can be deployed to an entire airport terminal or powered by agent’s smartphones for a simplified check-in and boarding experience for agents and passengers alike. Pre-flight processes such as check-in, seat assignment, APIS documentation, bag tag and boarding pass printing, and ancillary sales are streamlined through the intuitive platform that takes the complex check-in steps and simplifies it to increase operational efficiency and passenger satisfaction.
