In a recent virtual roundtable conducted by TheCSRUniverse, leaders and experts from diverse backgrounds converged to address the pressing issue of gender equity in STEM fields. The discussions revolved around strategic collaboration between the STEM sector and educational institutions to inspire and empower future generations of women in math and science. The speakers delved into mechanism to empowering future generations by enhancing collaborative efforts between the STEM sector and educational institutions. The speakers in the roundtable also examined the existing gender disparity in research grants and academic positions in STEM.

Concrete measures were proposed to ensure equal opportunities for women researchers and increase their representation in these roles. Participants discussed the role of mentorship programs and awareness campaigns in challenging societal norms and stereotypes, thus encouraging more women to enter STEM fields in India.

Finally, the roundtable explored the role of industry engagement in attracting, recruiting, and retaining women in STEM positions. Despite an increase in STEM graduates, the representation of women in STEM careers remains low. Participants brainstormed ways in which industries can create inclusive work environments and actively support the advancement of women in STEM. By championing diversity and fostering a culture of inclusion, organizations can drive innovation and excellence in the STEM workforce.
