The question is no longer, “Is remote work here to stay?” Remote working is already the new normal. The real question now is “What trends are growing across the remote work landscape?” Far more than just a health crisis, the Covid-19 pandemic is a generation-defining crisis. It has changed life, as we know it. Future generations will probably start referring to incidents as pre and post-Covid, because its impact has been that significant. Have you ever experienced the Bengaluru traffic in the pre-Covid era? If not, you probably won’t be able to gauge how bad it was. Let me tell you, it was really bad. When you share this with someone in a different part of the world that, sometimes a commute of a mere 5 kms during office hours could take about an hour, they are not going to believe it. In peak hours, it used to get worse. What a waste of valuable time. But now, that’s all about to change.
