Bengaluru, IndiaMay 02, 2024 – Sabre Corporation (NASDAQ: SABR), a leading software and technology provider that powers the global travel industry, today announced the appointment of Ashish Kasi as Vice President, Platform Engineering for the Check-In & Fulfilment portfolio in India, and will be based out of Bengaluru. This team plays a crucial role in delivering critical fulfilment capabilities for airlines and travel agencies, which includes issuance of electronic travel documents, enhancing exchanges and refund workflows, augmenting NDC (New Distribution Capability) servicing capabilities, evolving airport check-in experiences and departure control systems, among various others.

Ashish is a veteran global leader with over 28 years of experience in the technology domain, taking on various leadership and Engineering roles during this time. He has spearheaded the development of cloud-based SaaS products, retail and supply chain solutions, real-time data analytics, conversational AI platforms, and CRM services for global markets. Most recently, Ashish served as the VP and GM India for Conviva, which deals in online video optimization and analytics. He has also held leadership positions at [24]7.ai, Capillary Technologies, and Yahoo, among others. A passionate advocate for innovation, Ashish has also mentored several start-ups and NGOs in the education and the health-tech space.

Intern Boot Camp 2021

This year, we on-boarded 48 interns through Intern Boot Camp (IBC) 2021- an intensive 3-week assimilation program to help interns’ transition from campus to corporate. Jaya Jayakumar – Managing Director and Vice President, Bengaluru Global Capability Center addressed the interns in a virtual set-up and motivated them to be ‘fearless’ in taking up new challenges. These interns, chosen from across 12 top colleges in the country were given an immersion of key technologies, Sabre culture and businesses that Sabre focuses on. It was followed by a 3-day hackathon which allowed them to apply their new learnings, to create innovative solutions for the travel industry. During the IBC 2021 finale, the interns showcased their multitude of skills, and were recognized for their achievements in the hackathon.
