Knowledge exchange, learning and networking were the highlights of the first GDG Cloud Krakow Meetup, organized by GFT and Sabre Polska on November 9. Over 40 cloud technology enthusiasts participated in the event.  At the end of October, Sabre Polska and GFT established Krakow’s Cloud Google Developer Group (GDG). Both companies partnered to create a forum for advanced discussions on Cloud technologies and to advance the future of cloud computing. The in-person meetup held at Sabre’s Tischnera Office included two valuable sessions. Jarosław Szczepankiewicz of GFT spoke of building a virtual bank in the Cloud while Grzegorz Pietrzyk of Sabre Polska addressed the best Continuous Integration & Continuous Delivery practices. ”It is worth participating in such events as GDG Cloud Krakow Meetup. Developers often face similar challenges on a daily basis. This is a great opportunity to discuss and help each other”, said Grzegorz Pietrzyk, Senior Principal – Software Architect at Sabre Polska. The engaging and interactive Q&A session had speakers reflect on varied perspectives and experiences in the field of Cloud technology. Quality experts, excellent attendance and great discussions – all these encourage us to organize more such meetups in the future. We are pleased to share another opportunity to participate in – DevFest 2021 will take place on November 27 at the Sabre Polska office. Stay tuned for more details. ”As a strategic partner of Google and a leader in the travel industry, we are excited by the opportunities this forum provides technologists to gain deeper insights and become stronger in this evolving domain. We are hopeful such interactions will raise the capabilities, appreciation and creativity among the community”, said Sebastian Drzewiecki, VP & Managing Director, Sabre Global Capability Center, Krakow – Poland. A video summary of the first GDG Cloud Krakow Meetup and recordings of the sessions will be available soon.
