At Sabre, we are committed to giving back to the society and our Corporate Social Responsibility mission is to drive positive social and environmental change through our employees and customers. In India, every year we take small steps towards making a better society by supporting children and women.
In this direction, Sabre has partnered with Parikrma Humanity Foundation to support the underprivileged children with quality education and welfare. Parikrma Humanity Foundation is an NGO that excels in providing education to underprivileged children. They have more than 1700 children, 50% of whom are girls. They operate four Centers for Learning and a Junior college. They serve 69 slum communities and four Orphanages across Bangalore.
As a part of Sabre’s Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, Sabre has sponsored the education and health care of 30 students from grade one of their Koramangala Learning Center, for the academic year 2016-17. This program offers an end-to-end solution that covers not just the education and development of these kids but also takes care of their nutrition, health care and community development requirements. Team Sabre visited the learning center to formally hand over the sponsorship cheque and spent some quality time with the children. It was an inspiring and interactive day filled with energy and innocence. We were extremely happy to see the smiling children who were filled with the thirst for knowledge and determination to ‘make it big’ in life.“Events like these, connect us back to the real world. Spending Time Together
Being a technology provider to the travel industry where offering exceptional services is a given, Sabre employees are enthusiastic and passionate about serving local communities. Time and again, we have witnessed this commitment from our employees and the partnership with Parikrma Humanity Foundation has given them a host of opportunities.
Last November, team Sabre came together at the Bangalore Football Stadium to manage the students participating in the Parikrma Champions League 2016. More than 50 enthusiastic volunteers were actively involved in supporting Parikrma during the three-day event.
Before the matches, there was an energetic 45 min Zumba session conducted by Jenifir K Sharma and children grooved to the top dance numbers. The excitement continued as Sabre volunteers performed a flash-mob on Bollywood songs to warm up the stadium.
In a bid to keep the competitive spirits of the children high and maintain the energy levels and enthusiasm throughout the day, team Sabre organized various activities including singing, debate competition, face painting and quiz competition and rewarded students with exciting prizes and goodies. During the breaks, they also organized dance programs, drama, games, and other engaging activities.

This February, team Sabre comprising of 18 enthusiastic volunteers spent quality time with the students of Parikrma at their Learning Center. The team organized various ‘learn + fun’ activities for students from Grade 1 to Grade 4. Children had great fun participating in various activities conducted by our volunteers such as painting, paper lantern making, solving cross-word puzzles, spelling bee competition to running a tuck shop of home cooked delicious food prepared by our volunteers.
