It is a truism that the past year has been full of challenges. A challenged world is the hub of changes. On International Women’s Day 2021, the Women in Technology (W!T) team at Sabre – a community of like-minded women, aiming to upskill, empower,  promote and celebrate women, decided to use this occasion to stir up conversations around self – growth, diversity & inclusion at workplace and more! At Sabre GCC, Bengaluru, team members engaged in meaningful conversations, fun quizzes, and a dynamic fireside chat that probed questions like – How diverse are we? Are there inequalities in our organization?  etc. Other members exchanged inspiring and personal anecdotes about when and how they implemented #ChooseToChallenge in their lives to combat the cruel curse of gender bias. At global level, the #IAmRemarkable session from Google – our cloud partner, sparked discussions around self-promotions and the challenges faced by women. In early 2020, Google and Sabre forged a 10-year-strategic partnership to build the future of travel. To conclude the celebrations, we raised our hands and pledged to challenge inequality, call out bias and question stereotypes. Collectively as an organization, “#ChooseToChallenge” resonates with all of us as we help forge an inclusive world every day.
