Virgin Australia and Sabre expand partnership to enable new retailing and product distribution capabilities

SINGAPORE – 22 March 2018 Sabre Corporation (NASDAQ: SABR), the leading technology provider to the global travel industry, has expanded its technology partnership with Virgin Australia. This agreement further strengthens the long-standing and trusted partnership between the companies while supporting Virgin Australia’s digital modernization efforts with the addition of Digital Experience, Sabre’s next generation e-commerce platform. “We are extremely happy with the results generated through the Sabre solutions we already have in place. The established Sabre PSS solution is a highly functional tool that has become a fundamental feature of Virgin Australia’s operations, and we’re pleased Sabre is able to support our e-commerce initiatives,” said Rob Sharp, Virgin Australia Airlines Group Executive. “We value the partnership we’ve developed with Sabre over the years and are confident this technology will continue to propel our business forward as we expand our operations in Australia and across Asia Pacific,” he added. The companies have collaborated since 2001, when Virgin Australia began leveraging commercial and operational technology from Sabre’s broad portfolio to grow its business after its entry to the Australian domestic market in 2000. In 2013, when the carrier was ready to launch its brand transformation program in a shift from low cost to full service airline, Sabre assisted Virgin Australia with the implementation of its customer-centric passenger services system. This year, the airline will launch SabreSonic Digital Experience to develop a fully responsive website that offers end-to-end retailing capabilities. “Sabre is proud to be Virgin Australia’s trusted technology solutions provider. With access to SabreSonic Digital Experience, they can now optimize their direct distribution channel and have better control over their retailing capabilities. This new technology gives the airline the opportunity to grow new revenue streams, including ancillaries, while offering a unique traveller experience,” said Dasha Kuksenko, Sabre Airline Solutions vice president and regional general manager, Asia Pacific.   ### About Sabre Corporation Sabre Corporation is the leading technology provider to the global travel industry.
