Today marks a huge milestone for both Sabre and Southwest Airlines. As of July 26, 2021, Sabre-connected agencies and travel buyers can enjoy enhanced connectivity when booking Southwest content in the Sabre GDS!

This new distribution agreement provides richer capabilities, including:

  • Improved schedule and inventory accuracy
  • Last seat availability
  • Real-time booking functionality

This partnership represents two big wins. First and foremost, it makes selling Southwest content through the Sabre GDS easier and more efficient than ever, which is a huge win for our large network of Sabre-connected travel agencies and buyers—especially as they evaluate their travel needs in 2021 and beyond.

Secondly, it reinforces our commitment to partnering with airlines and agencies in creative ways to deliver the retailing and distribution solutions that meet customer needs on both sides of the travel marketplace.

Not only does this greatly expand Southwest’s reach into the business travel segment, Sabre’s travel agency and corporate customers will experience the increased efficiency, productivity and cost-savings that comes from booking Southwest through our agency point-of-sale, Sabre Red 360 and our corporate booking solution, GetThere. Andy Finkelstein, SVP Global Agency Sales & Corporate Solutions for Sabre
Thanks to our new partnership with Sabre, we’re able to provide the ability for more organizations than ever before to quickly book and modify travel with just a few clicks. Dave Harvey, VP Southwest Business
