Educate. Advocate. Collaborate. These are the three pillars of Sabre’s Passport to Freedom initiative to end human trafficking. On Thursday, Feb.27, each of us has the unique opportunity to do all three.

It is estimated that there are between 10 million and 27 million people enslaved in the world today. The End it Movement is an awareness campaign and coalition of non-profit organizations dedicated to ending human slavery. Sabre is proud to be a partner of three coalition members, including the Polaris Project, International Justice Mission and as a signatory of the ECPAT Code of Conduct.

Thursday, Feb. 27, marks the End it Movement’s “Shine a Light on Slavery Day.” On this day, supporters are encouraged to draw a red ‘X’ on their hand to show their support for ending modern-day slavery. Employee volunteers at our offices in Montevideo, Krakow, Buenos Aires, Bangalore, London, and Southlake, Texas, and beyond will be equipped with red markers to mark the hands of their colleagues as they arrive to work on the morning of Feb. 27.

Everyone is encouraged to share photos and videos of their participation on  social media networks to educate  friends, families and colleagues that slavery still exists and advocacy for change is needed to help bring it to an end.

Do you want to shine a light on slavery? Mark your hand with a red ‘X’ on Thursday, Feb. 27, share your participation in social media and join the fight. #enditmovement | @sabre_corp
