Emerging technologies, like wearable devices, are having huge impact on how travelers navigate their trips. The ability to glance at your wrist and know if your flight has been delayed is a valuable convenience when running through the airport, re-dressing at security, balancing luggage - and sometimes balancing kids.
TripCase is Sabre’s award-winning travel management app that allows travelers to access their trip details from the web, mobile phone, tablet and smartwatch.
The newest version of TripCase includes the first-of-its-kind travel app for the highly-anticipated Apple Watch. This allows Apple Watch users to access the most relevant, time-sensitive trip information on their smartwatch and receive real-time flight on their wrist.
Investing in a new form factor
TripCase, Sabre’s award-winning travel management app, began exploring wearable technology in 2014. It began with product enhancements that allowed users to receive important trip notifications directly on their smartwatch, including popular devices such as the Pebble and Android Wear. TripCase was the first travel management apps to send rich notifications to the new Samsung Gear S in November of 2014.
With this release, the travel experience for Apple Watch wearers has taken a giant leap forward by providing the most important trip notifications at a glance . For flight information, travelers will see flight numbers, flight status and gate number. For hotel guests, they will see hotel name, address, phone number, reservation dates and confirmation code. These are the most frequently referenced pieces of travel information - and they're now available on your wrist.
