Sabre is taking Dev Studio to Silicon Valley in September and the global travel technology provider is proud to be an official sponsor of two of the most anticipated technology conferences of the year: TechCrunch Disrupt and APIWorld. Both conferences will include ideal learning and networking opportunities for developers and startups.

TechCrunch Disrupt will be held September 8-10 in San Francisco CA and Sabre will have a booth presence at the conference where the team will be giving away Sabre Dev Studio robot gear and prizes.  TechCrunch is a network of technology-oriented blogs and other web properties that focuses primarily on emerging technology trends.  TechCrunch has listed the top three reasons to attend as Exposure, Time, and Nerds. This conference will be all about developers gaining exposure and networking with other developers who share their love for hacking.

The API World conference will be held September 15-17 in San Francisco CA and is considered the largest API conference and expo that is 100% dedicated to developers. Developers can come explore dozens of APIs that can augment, analyze, or monetize their apps. This conference opens dialogue about developing APIs with a goal to make developers’ technologies part of a larger app ecosystem.  Developers and entrepreneurs will participate in panel talks, workshops, and product demos covering the API landscape.

Among the panel of influential speakers at API World, Sabre Labs’ employee Barrett Clark will be giving a presentation focused on APIs and indoor location.  Stay tuned for a blog with more information on this topic.

In addition to these conferences, both TechCrunch and API World will be hosting 24-hour hackathons (TechCrunch Disrupt Hackathon on September 6 and API World’s Data + Hackathon on September 13).  At both events, Sabre APIs will serve as a resource for developers to integrate travel capabilities into their applications.

Sabre is putting their personal touch on these conferences by having engaging photo booths with robot-like props to embrace the nerdy culture of these events.  Sabre will also be awarding cash prizes at each of the hackathons for the best use of Sabre APIs.  Attendees can expect to see Sabre Labs’ hacking away in both of the 24-hr hackathons before the conferences kick-off.  Sabre is pumped about sponsoring these highly anticipated conferences. When you mix Sabre Dev Studio with brilliant developers – you just can’t go wrong.
