The Agile India Conference is Asia’s largest premier Agile & Lean Conference. This year’s event took place March 23 -30 in Bangalore and was organized by the Agile Software Community of India, which has been running conferences in India since 2005. Attended by both agile enthusiasts and practitioners, the event featured more than 70 presentations that explored the depth and breadth of agile software development across all practices and perspectives.

This year’s theme was ‘Scaling Agile & Innovation Games’ and positioned Agile as the de-facto standard across all sectors for the management, development and delivery of project and products in the 21st Century.

A Sabre Bangalore team of agile coaches and practitioners attended the conference, and Ms. Pradeepa Narayanaswamy was one of the session speakers. Her presentation  focused on the power of “Pair Testing,” a technique that promotes rapid feedback to produce high quality products. A hot topic, the talk was appreciated by the attendees.

“The timing of the conference was just right.  It provided an opportunity for Sabre to showcase the progress we are making in our agile transformation. Our plans are to aggressively leverage our thought leadership in making Sabre Bangalore a Center of Excellence for agile development and delivery,” said Shail Maniar, VP Sabre Bangalore.

This year, an “Agile Job Fair” was part of the conference. The  fair provided an opportunity for agile practitioners to meet potential employers, and for employers to find agile practitioners to enable their journey towards agile adoption and excellence. Sabre was one of the largest  companies to participate in the job fair and received very positive responses from the participants. More than twenty agile practitioners registered themselves at the Sabre booth, which gave Sabre leaders the chance to speak with potential candidates about the agile transformation at Sabre Bangalore and the growth of its use.
