Jet Airways Further Improves Operational Efficiencies with the Latest Sabre Airline Solutions Flight Operations System

Major Indian Airline Updates Industry-Leading Tools to Support Growth Trajectory

SOUTHLAKE, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)–July 13, 2004–Sabre Airline Solutions today announced Jet Airways, the Indian
domestic airline market leader, has selected the Sabre AirOps suite of
flight operations products in a move to modernize its operational
systems to support future growth plans.

Jet Airways operates over 250 flights daily to 42 destinations
across the country. The rapid expansion of its route network earned
the airline Air Transport World’s prestigious 2001 Market Leadership
Award. Continued growth plans directed Jet Airways to evaluate its
current flight operations systems with the airline selecting the Sabre
AirOps suite of flight operations products, including Sabre AirOps
Dispatch Manager, Sabre AirOps Movement Manager and Sabre AirOps
Decision Manager.

“There is no doubt flight operations is mission critical,” said
Peter Luethi, chief operating officer, Jet Airways. “It is a
particularly pertinent issue for Jet Airways as we face the unique
challenge of regular fogs in Delhi every year for two months, hence it
is imperative that we have the best tools available to manage our
flight operations. To meet our growing needs — and also for
international routes — we realized we required a robust, integrated
solution that is proven in the marketplace and the Sabre AirOps suite
of products met all our criteria.”

The Sabre AirOps suite of products is an advanced set of
decision-support applications developed to monitor daily flight
movements and assist operations controllers in making informed
decisions regarding all aspects of flight operations. Sabre AirOps
will allow Jet Airways to drive improvements in on-time performance,
maintenance and disruption costs. For example, the real-time
information and proactive functionality of Sabre AirOps will enable
improved operational efficiencies and, most importantly, when a
disruption occurs, the carrier can now mathematically optimize its
decisions to preserve profits and minimize customer impact.

According to Cameron Curtis, vice president, Asia Pacific, Sabre
Airline Solutions, “There is an emerging realization in the aviation
industry of the importance of an integrated operations flight control
center. If the operations center has real time data and visibility
then the airline will execute its core functions more smoothly, while
reducing turn times. Jet Airways is leading this trend with the
implementation of the Sabre AirOps suite which will allow them to
better automate the flight operations, flight planning and dispatch
functions.”

Complementing its existing Sabre Airline Solutions product
portfolio, the implementation of Sabre AirOps Dispatch Manager, Sabre
AirOps Movement Manager and Sabre AirOps Decision Manager represents
Jet Airways’ strong commitment to Sabre Airline Solutions’ technology.
Earlier this year Jet Airways became the first airline in India and
one of the first in the industry to leverage SabreSonic, the
industry’s first new-generation solution for reservations and
passenger management which included the introduction of both
e-ticketing and Internet booking services.

Jet Airways joins a growing number of airlines who have selected
Sabre AirOps including Virgin Blue, Cathay Pacific Airways, China
Eastern, Air China and Air New Zealand.
