What does a typical day at work look like for you?
Thousands of requests and interruptions – everyone needs something from me even if I’m not the right person to provide the answer – at the same time, juggle hundreds of changes from a simple meeting to elaborate travel itineraries.
Where were you born, where did you grow up/study and where do you live now?
I was born in El Paso, TX. Grew up there until I moved to Lubbock to attend Texas Tech. Ended up in the Dallas-Fort Worth area where I married and graduated from Ashford University with Bachelors in Communications.
Name one little known fact about you, e.g. used to be a pro tennis player, can’t ride a bike etc. I can’t float. Not sure why I sink no matter how much I kick and try to stay afloat!
What’s your best travel tip? Pack a pashmina – you never know when you will get cold or need your shoulders covered!
What would you never leave home without? My phone. I depend on it heavily for directions!
When are you happiest? About 95% of the time.
What is your earliest memory? Almost Drowning (think I was about 5 yrs old)
What’s your guilty pleasure? Root beer floats
Aside from a property, what’s the most expensive thing you’ve ever bought? My Honda Accord
Who would play you in the film of your life? Julia Roberts – she’s quirky and has big hair like me.
What’s been your most embarrassing moment? Falling in the women’s restroom at work and breaking my arm in half… then having to leave the bathroom on a stretcher to the nearest emergency room while the entire finance department stared.
What’s the worst thing someone’s said to you? You are just a Mexican – you don’t belong in a sorority.
What do you owe your parents? The person I am today.
Which words or phrases do you most overuse? Holy Cow! (but the R-Rated version)
How do you relax? Lock myself in a room, play music extremely loud, and dance until my feet hurt.
