This month Sabre is celebrating 10 years of successful operations in Uruguay since the opening of the Global Customer Support Center in Montevideo. I feel privileged and proud to have been a part of this center from day one, which gave me the opportunity to watch and accompany the tremendous growth of our team of professionals in Uruguay. We have grown in number – from the initial 120 employees to over 850 collaborators who comprise today’s team. Our talent and skills have expanded exponentially as we now support 185 job functions – a huge leap from the initial 14 roles we had in 2004.
Over these 10 years, our team has provided award-winning technology support to Sabre customers globally – including airlines, hoteliers, travel agencies, corporations, and more. It’s been 10 years of 24/7 support every day of the year – that’s 87,600 hours of uninterrupted service that we are celebrating! Through our global customer service approach, we have developed unique insights into our customers and their businesses, which paired with Sabre’s leading travel technology, translates into exceptional service. At the same time, we are in a unique position to be the liaison between our customers and our product and technology organization to ensure we have the right solutions, for the right customers, at the right time.
Our team in Uruguay has built a great culture of collaboration, innovative thinking, customer focus, and community engagement. Everyone who visits our center is in awe of the vibrant energy that our team has, which is a result of our unique culture of customer focus, diversity, and passion for what we do. Our open space office promotes collaboration, and our break areas complete with games, and comfortable spaces to relax and share time, contribute to the strong bonds our team members share, translates into superior customer service. The great diversity of the team – varying in age, education professional experience, and cultural backgrounds also sets us apart. Our diversity makes us better, but the one thing we all have in common is that we are all passionate about what we do.
