In April of 2001, Sabre purchased the Sabre Pacific travel distribution business from Travel Industries Automated Systems Pty Limited (TIAS), a travel distribution alliance among Qantas, Air New Zealand and Ansett Airlines. The acquisition gives travel suppliers, travel agents and travelers in the South Pacific region greater access to our global resources and technology. Under terms of the agreement, Sabre Pacific became a subsidiary of Sabre.
