Paul Rostron

Executive Vice President, Human Resources

Paul Rostron is executive vice president, Human Resources of Sabre Holdings®, a company comprising four businesses with approximately 10,000 employees working in 60 countries. His job, quite simply, is to “make sure our team is better than everyone else’s” not just at the corporate headquarters, but in all of the company’s locations around the world. Beyond hiring the best talent possible, Paul and his team ensure that our people enjoy opportunities for professional development, rewards and recognition that are superior to competitors and that the Sabre culture continues to support its impressive tradition of innovation, inclusion and excellence.

In his post as EVP of Human Resources, Paul believes it is important to connect personally and frequently with our diverse workforce. As such, within six months of joining Sabre in March 2007, Paul had circled the globe, visiting each of our main offices and learning that what most characterizes our people is their collective passion for travel. A passion, incidentally, that Paul might have developed in his formative years, having visited each of the United States’ 48 contiguous states by the age of 18 — except that his family vacations were typically by car and involved sleeping in a pop-up tent. As a member of the executive leadership team, Paul has been bitten officially by the travel bug and looks forward to traveling to his destinations of choice once his globe-trotting sons are grown. Until then, his vacations are dictated by his teenage sons’ tournament schedules and locations.

Paul joined Sabre from his previous post at 7-Eleven, where he led the retail giant’s global HR teams through several operational challenges including changes in corporate ownership. Prior to 7-Eleven, Paul served in executive HR roles at FedEx-Kinko’s, Gateway Computers and Abbott Laboratories. A native of Waukegan, Illinois, Paul played tennis and rugby while earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in marketing from Illinois State University, then pursued and completed his MBA from the University of Illinois. He names Australia as the country he would most like to explore with his wife, Cindi, leaving deadlines, emails and soccer schedules behind. Someday.
